There is no better place in the southwest and Dallas/Fort Worth market to discover the adrenaline rush of Airsoft like Xdrenalin™. We want to help players achieve the highest level of competition they want or just have a fun and safe day in a family friendly environment.
Who Can Play?
The minimum age to play is 10 years of age and everyone under 18 must have a parent-signed waiver. All must have waivers on file and all players must agree to and follow the rules including wearing a safety mask at all times. Great for friends, teams, birthday parties, bachelor parties and more. Call 214-989-3000 to make reservations or let us know you are coming!
The Goal
The goal, much like paintball, is to eliminate an opposing team, capture the flag or even hostage rescue. Militaristic tactics and team building are used to win the game and reach the goal. Equipment is typically very realistic and shoot BBs at approximately 350-400 fps. They should be treated as real weapons and never pointed at someone outside of action or treated as a toy. We require all BBs to be biodegradable.
The Setting
When played at XZ Airsoft, games are supervised by a safety official in an approved setting designed for the sport. When played at home or in neighborhoods, damage to neighborhood homes is likely and someone may mistake the equipment as real. All games MUST be officiated by a safety official who is not playing or engaged in the game.
Players Call Themselves “OUT”
The sport is based on the honor system and players “call themselves out.” Cheating is not tolerated in order to make sure the game is challenging and fun for all.
Airsoft Masks
Airsoft players are required to wear full face mask on any of the XZ Airsoft playing fields. “Mesh” or “Screen” masks are not allowed because of the potential of the BBs shattering and passing though the screen to the eyes, mouth or ears. Shop glasses, firing glasses or sunglass style eye protection are not allowed on XZ Airsoft fields either. The best source for an approved Airsoft mask would be a paintball rated mask. Rental goggles are available if you do not own your own.
Airsoft players may play on fields within firing range of paintballs so it is required of Airsoft players to have face protection that is suitable for both sports in case an Airsoft player is hit by a paintball.
Airsoft Guns
There are 3 basic types of Airsoft guns; "Springers" single shot spring powered guns (usually pistols), gas powered guns (usually pistols) which are powered by a compressed gas filled magazine, and AEGs (Automatic Electric Guns) which are powered by batteries. AEGs are realistic replicas of past and present military weapons. AEGs usually have 2 modes of fire, semi-auto and full auto. They are magazine fed, with magazine capacity ranging from around 70 rounds for a "low-cap," to around 160 rounds for a "mid-cap," and 400 rounds or more for "hi-cap" mags.
Airsoft BBs
At Xdrenalin™, all BBs must be biodegradable – except with sniper rifles with limited shots. Airsoft BBs come in different weights from .12gr on the low end to over .40gr on the high end, with .20-.25 being the most common. For outdoor games players generally use .23s and .25s BBs for the best accuracy as they are less affected by wind.
The BBs also come in different grades; "standard" grade and "precision" grade BBs. Standard grade are used in lower-end guns and do not provide the accuracy of precision grade BBs because they are not perfectly round. Standard grade BBs also tend to jam in “tight-bore” barrels in high-end Airsoft guns.
Airsoft Gear
Other suggested accessories for Airsoft players are: 2-way radios, ammo pouches, combat boots, knee pads, hand protection, cantina, handkerchief, camel-back water system, pen and paper (to record game scores or other information). Players are allowed to carry as much gear as they can safely handle on the field.
Tactical vest are also common for most Airsoft players to have. These vest help players carry all their gear, extra ammo, water, and they help protect the chest against the BB hits.
